I like to have rich, involved worlds for my stories, and as such, I've got quite a bit of background stuff typed up in google docs. I've put a bit of that up on dA but for the most part, I like keeping it private.
THIS MATTERS BECAUSE: I've been doing a lot of work on them recently. Now, I do have two more ideas that I'm working on, both of which I'm really excited about. Here's a description of them.
FIRST OBJECTIVE:
Title: A Maid's Duty
Jason Crow is an eccentric, young, and reclusive inventor who lives in a grand old estate attended by a serving staff. His isolation, while odd, would be perfectly acceptable, but for one detail. Jason is the last member of a noble line and that role comes with certain . . . genealogical responsibilities. When he's sent an ultimatum by the ruling family, those responsibilities become very, very urgent.
This is, as may be guessed, an adult themed story. I've seen stories and pictures where Victorian maids have . . . relationships with their masters, but none of them really went in-depth enough. I have an image(and, yes, a fetish) in my head that I have yet to see fulfilled, so I'm doing it. The scenario at large is simplistic, too. One nation's politics, a mix of magical and steampunk elements, but really nothing I need to expand on.
SECOND OBJECTIVE:
Title: N/A
"Nonstandard Case Division" A very bland and boring name, really, and all according to plan. This plain-sounding government agency is an enigma, a shadow organization, an open secret among other agencies and all but unknown to the public. The truth of the matter is that NCD is the U.S. government's first, last, and only paranormal investigation group. They investigate strange occurrences and safeguard the existence of meta-humans. Recently, though, they've blown the lid on a whole nuther conspiracy, one of elves and faeries and magic. Task Force Seven has been brought together to investigate this supernatural world.
It's something akin to a mix between the shows NCIS and Sanctuary, with a bit of Eureka and Alphas tossed in for flavoring. I've got page after page of written stuff that I just need to get to a typed state. Better, the way it is, I can really work on this without too much backstory. Because it's set in Modern Earth, I can keep working on the stories while I think up stuff for the world at large.
